Kovozavody Prostejov 72371 Fokker S-11 Instructor

The Fokker S-11 was a Dutch low-wing training aircraft from the post-war period. The drive was provided by a single 190 HP Lycoming O-435A engine. The prototype flight took place in December 1947. Serial production started the same year and is still continuing. Serial production started shortly after.

The Fokker S-11 was created in response to the Dutch air force's need for a new basic training aircraft, which became a burning issue right after the end of World War II. For this reason, efforts were made to develop a new plane as soon as possible, using as many proven components as possible and bearing in mind the economy of its use. Despite the high pace of work, the Fokker S-11 turned out to be a successful and reliable machine that performed its role well. Only one development version, called the S-12, appeared in the course of production, which used a triple support chassis. Fokker S-11 aircraft were used by, among others, the Netherlands, Brazil, Bolivia, Israel and Italy. Several examples of these aircraft are still used by civilian users to this day.
